SHARP Associate Director Michelle Segar's Study Shows Men and Women Respond Differently to Advertisements Promoting Fitness

Funded by the National Institutes of Health, the study finds a promise of "daily well-being" motivates women to exercise, while "weight loss" and "health" are more motivational for men.

December, 2011. SHARP Codirector Kathy Babiak will deliver the keynote address at the Fourth Conference of the Japan Sports Management Association, December 10-11, at Tokyo's Waseda University. Her topic is "Women, Sport, and Social Responsibility: Opportunities for Collaboration and Change."
