The Boyd/Williams Dissertation Grant
IRWG’s prestigious graduate fellowship is named for two sisters: Ruth Rodman Boyd (1892–1981), a longtime community activist, and Shirley Rodman Williams (1894–1999), who worked in the Detroit business community long before it was common for women to have professional, managerial careers. The fellowship is awarded every other year to a doctoral student writing a dissertation related to women and work. Learn more about the Boyd/Williams Dissertation Grant.
